It’s been too hot to do anything except sit in the sun and drink. Added to that my pressures at work (and preparing for interviews for new jobs) and my hobby stuff has been pushed to the side a bit. No worries though, hopefully the drama will be over soon and life can return to normal. In the meantime, I found this rather good miniature painting site, I’m sure a lot of you will know it already but what intreagued me was the tutorial on making your own high quality washes from acrylic inks. Now I can make ink washes in whatever colour I want! I for one was rather dissapointed when GW stopped selling their range of inks – it meant I had to rethink how I painted my blood angles, which was anoying to say the least (especially as I had a large batch in progress).
I’ve managed (with quite a bit of googling) to track down UK equivalents for most of the materials needed (except the large mixing bottles – let me know if you find any in the UK). I’ve updated the ‘raw materials‘ page with the shop websites.
